Malfunctioning Tilt Mechanism Replacement for Blinds

Tilt mechanisms can malfunction in a number of ways leaving your blind's tilt function useless. There are two main types of tilt mechanisms; wand tilt and cord tilt, each have their inherent common problems. Cord tilters usually wear out inside their internal collar and can no longer turn the rod which they are designed to turn. When this happens you will have a very limited tilt range of motion before the cord just begins to pull with no effect on the blind. For wand tilters the same may happen, but the most common issue is broken teeth inside the mechanism. Another common issue is a broken stem which you can see from outside the blind headrail which eliminates any tilt function for the blind.
